Luxury Stay at Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

best hotel in the maldives

Choosing where to stay in the Maldives is such a huge part of a Maldives trip. A lot of resorts are located on their own private island so your experience is largely shaped by the vibe, service, and amenities of the resort. There were 3 main factors we considered when picking accommodation: accessibility, price, and resort amenities. We wanted to strike a balance between authentic Maldivian vibe and a refined luxury experience. Enter Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa!

The Park Hyatt brand is the highest tier of Hyatt hotels. They offer a refined, white glove, and highly personalized experience. Having stayed in the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, we knew we would be in for a treat.

Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is located in the Huvadhoo Atoll in the southern part of the Maldives. Hadahaa is a secluded island resort surrounded by the most flourishing and untouched coral reefs. The sand is powdery white and the water is crystal clear. The entire island is a brisk 20 minute walk.

Who is this resort good for? We felt an incredible sense of peacefulness and privacy during our stay. It’s perfect for honeymooners, couples, and those seeking to really get away. Prices range from $1200 – $4000 USD. Its idyllic location makes it feel even more private (continue reading below for how to get to the island) so keep accessibility in mind if bringing small children.

⭐ I’ve linked my entire Maldives trip on my Instagram highlights!

1. How to get to Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

Hadahaa is 400km from Malé, where the international airport is located. From Malé, we took a 1 hour local flight and a 20 minute speedboat ride to get to the resort. The round-trip airfare and boat rides are arranged by Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa and is included in the cost of your reservation. They book the best flights based on your arrival time at Malé airport. We stayed in another resort prior to Park Hyatt and they coordinated all the details directly with this hotel. We felt the white-glove service even before we arrived.

2. Resort Overview

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the most heartwarming staff. They whisked us straight to our suite in a little buggy. I realized we hadn’t yet checked in. Our personal host (every villa gets their own private host!) explained that check-in happens inside our own villa. Every hotel should adopted this! Imagine checking in while sipping on a tropical spritz in your own bed. It might seem like a small touch, but it definitely stood out.

The resort has an infinity pool, multiple on-site restaurants, 24-hour fitness center, the Vidhun Spa (with five couples’ spa treatment villas), yoga studio, and numerous experiences.

3. Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa Villas

The Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa villas are LUX. They have 50 villas – 36 on land and 14 on water. They’re sleek with a warmth to them. The sharp lines are contrasted with delicate wood accents. They’re outfitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, incredibly romantic mood-lighting, private decks, and direct access to the beach or reef.

We stayed in their Beach Pool Villa. The villa is nestled in the island’s lush greenery and fitted with a king bed, lounge overlooking a private plunge pool and deck, and outdoor shower area. BEST PART? It has a private path directly to the white-sand-blue-water beach.

4. Resort Dining

There are multiple dining options to indulge during your stay. In addition in in-room dining and private dining, there are on-site restaurants You can opt for all-inclusive or not. The Dining Room is a contemporary à la carte restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Island Grill is right on the sand and offers diners a barefoot experience while indulging in freshly grilled seafood and prime cuts of meat. Koi @ The Drift is an intimate overwater Japanese restaurant. The Bar is an indoor/outdoor bar with a killer mixology program (I was sipping on their Mai Tai’s everyday!). They also have a special Treehouse dining which features a menu of ingredients all sourced from the Chef’s organic garden or within the atoll.

Our stay at Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa was above and beyond what we expected! It was pure luxury and we loved how it felt like a little private getaway. We honestly can’t wait to go back!
