Best hotels in Tulum and a review of the Radhoo Tulum

best hotels in tulum with a hammock

When looking for hotels in Tulum, we wanted a unique stay that was centrally located and affordable. We looked far and wide. As soon as we stumbled upon The Radhoo, we knew this was the one! Not only is it across the famous Tulum beach, but the Radhoo suites feature unique net hammocks hanging high above the jungle offering incredible views of the Mayan jungle.

Popular hotels in Tulum

During our trip, we explored several other hotels by visiting their restaurants, bars, or beaches. The following lists some of our favorites:

The Radhoo Hotel

The Radhoo Tulum Hotel is nestled in the heart of Tulum beach. It’s centrally located and surrounded by the lush Mayan jungle on one side. This makes it SO UNIQUE in comparison to the other properties on the strip. Bonus, the beach is only a hop away.

The entire place echoes of jungle vibes. The outside facade is unassuming with its modest teepee-esque hut. This opens up to the gorgeous resort inside.

What sets The Radhoo apart is its quiet and serene vibes. Many other hotels we visited on the Tulum beach strip had a louder party-esque scene, which is great, don’t get me wrong. We prefer to stay at chill places and party at louder ones 😉 Additionally, the Radhoo is adults only, so they really cater to those looking for a quiet getaway.

???? Pro tip: If you want the same room as ours, be sure to get the Radhoo Suite. Read more below about our room features

The Rooms

The Radhoo has multiple room types. We stayed in the Radhoo Suite. Trust me, THIS is the room you need! The properly only has 4 such rooms. They are outfitted with net hammocks that hang above the forest and offer breathtaking views! We’ve wanted to experience these net hammocks ever since we saw travel photos of Bali. In fact, we thought Bali was the only place that offered them. Imagine our excitement when we found them in Tulum!

The suite has a king canopy bed, air conditioning, daily housekeeping, and A+ service. The staff is only a whatsapp text away.

???? Pro tip: there are 2 types of suites: two which face the Mayan jungle and two which face the Radhoo pool. Be sure to call and request for the room view you prefer

The View

There’s nothing quite as magical as waking up to the sun rising above the Mayan Jungle! The net hammocks are the perfect way to soak in the Tulum air, enjoy a meal, and just relax. We ordered breakfast and spent every morning here.

At night, we watched the sky light up with a million stars. Since the Tulum beach is distanced from the city, there is very little light pollution. This really is the perfect place to star gaze and feel small in this magnificent universe.

The Pool

When we weren’t exploring Tulum, you could find us relaxing by the Radhoo pool with mezcal margs. The T-shaped pool is surrounded by the lush jungle, and really feels like a private retreat.

Food and drink

The Radhoo has a full-service bar where you can order drinks, cocktails, and smoothies. They don’t have a restaurant on property however they have a partnership with a high-end neighboring restaurant. They offer their full menu, and they deliver all the food directly to you.
