Instagrammable Spots in Santorini

instagrammable spots in santorini oia anastasi church

Heading to Santorini Greece? Here are my top instagrammable spots you have to experience on your trip

If you’re planning on where to stay, We had the opportunity to stay at FOUR Andronis properties across Santorini and they were incredible. Everything from the attention to detail, to a pillow menu (yes, you read that right), to the bespoke chocolates at turndown service, it was pure luxury. Read more about our stay at the Andronis Hotels.

⭐ As always I’m linking my entire Santorini trip on my Instagram highlights: Part 1, Part 2

1. Anastasi Church

These picturesque churches are one of the most photographed spots in Santorini. The two churches are built on the slope of the caldera.

2. Kastro Oia Houses

The Kastro Oia Houses is a hotel hear Oia Castle, at the top of the staircase to Ammoudi Beach. There’s a restaurant on top which is open to the public

3. Three Domes

This is another iconic Santorini photo spot. The view of the Three Blue Domes is the other side of the Anastasi Church. Getting here is tricky because there are no signs, there are hundreds of small streets, and many of them are unmarked. To get here, start at the Church of Panagia Akathistos Hymn. Take the alleyway across from Phoibos towards the water. At the end of the alley, you’ll see the domes on your right

4. Oia Castle

Oia Castle is one of the best vantage points in Santorini, offering 360 views of the Aegean sea and the cascading Oia cliffside houses. It’s also one of the most popular and most crowded places to watch the famous Santorinian sunsets. The castle dates from the late 15th century and is free to visit. If you want to watch the sunset from here, be sure to arrive an hour before sunset to grab a spot.

5. Sunset from West Oia

Because of the way the Oia cliff is situated, the sun sets behind it. To get the best views of the sunset, head west. Our favorite spot to catch the sunset with a cocktail was at Pacman Restaurant at Andronis Arcadia. The restaurant is open to everyone, even if you’re not a guest at the hotel. Pacman was a whole vibe!

Andronis Arcadia is the newest properties of the Andronis family. It’s the perfect hotel for those looking for a peaceful getaway from the bustling streets of Oia but still just a few minutes walk to the town center. Arcadia is a place to truly unwind and relax. Every suite is west-facing and comes with its own pool facing the Aegean sea, making it perfect to watch the beautiful Santorini sunsets.

6. Imerovigli

Imerovigli is a short drive from Oia and has a completely different vibe. We visited the Andronis Concept Wellness Resort in Imerovigli. The resort offers a luxurious blend of privacy, mindfulness, and indulgence. Housed in this resort are three shared pools, the largest spa in Santorini, a yoga studio facing the sea, and an amazing restaurant offering breathtaking views of the caldera. The restaurant, Throubi, features Santorinian gastronomy created using fresh ingredients from their garden.

7. Explore Oia

Meander through the streets of Oia and soak in the Mediterrean sun. Explore the boutique shops, the gelato stores (Solo Gelato was our fav), pick up a gyro, and a baklava from Patisserie Medevio

8. Stay in a Luxurious Suite with Infinity Views

We spent our time across THREE Andronis properties in Oia and visited a FOURTH in Imerovigli. They were immaculate. The food, the vibe, and the incredible views were everything we dreamt about for our Santorini trip. It truly made our first visit to the Greek islands more magical than we ever imagined. Read more about our stay at the Andronis hotels.

9. Experience a Cave Suite

If you’re looking at stay in a cave-style suite, Andronis Boutique Hotel and Andronis Luxury Suites are as luxurious as they get: private plunge pools, heated tubs, and a bespoke scent that wafts as you enter your suite. From the moment we arrived, we felt like VIPs. Andronis Boutique Hotel is located at the heart of Oia. It’s one of the properties that make up the cascading Oia cliffside. This means you get unobstructed views of the crescent-shaped caldera and the Aegean Sea.

Andronis Luxury Suites Hotel is known for its tranquility and elegance. It was the first of Andronis property at Santorini and consists of 33 luxury suites. The suites come with either a private infinity pool, cave pool or heated hot tub. It’s also located in the heart of Oia, down the street from Andronis Boutique Hotel.

10. Dine at the Most Romantic Restaurant in the World

Andronis Luxury Suites is home to the most romantic restaurant in the WORLD, Lycabettus. The restaurant is also voted as one of the best restaurants in Oia. It’s perched on an clifftop and has 360 views of the sea, the sunset, and Oia. This was the most romantic dinner we had in Santorini! They offer a degustation tasting menu and à la carte. We opted for the tasting menu because we wanted to try a little bit of everything. The meal took us through a journey of modern Greek cuisine. We started we an impressive amuse bouche course with many bites. Then came a dish with sunchoke foam, hazelnut ice cream, and truffles. Other highlights were the cod with beurre blanc, lobster, chicken with a wild mushrooms jus, and wagyu with little pomme souffles. DIVINE. Read more about our stay at Andronis Luxury Suites.

11. Enjoy Greek Food

The hotels we stayed in were all bed & breakfasts, so breakfast was included. A few of our hotels had a la carte options and others had an unlimited breakfast buffet. We made our brunches boozy with few glasses of champagne because vacation ???? Be sure to try these dishes:

  • Bougatsa – phyllo dough wrapped custard or cheese
